Eg. Jumo India was established as 23rd affiliate of Worldwide sales & service network to serve the customers in this area.

Moritz Kurt Juchheim founds the company M. K. JUCHHEIM in Fulda – better known as JUMO (derived from the founder’s name) – and starts the production of glass and glass contact thermometers.
He was born on July 4, 1910, in Ilmenau / Thuringia, where his father was already producing thermometers.
Right from the start, his philosophy was to manufacture high-quality precision instruments, and to offer them together with the best possible service.

Successive expansion of the product range to include dial thermometers and electromechanical thermostats. A national sales network is built up.

Production of electrical measuring, control and recording equipment, as well as temperature sensors. Branches are set up in Germany, and subsidiary companies abroad.

Expansion continues with both the continuous and new development of electronic temperature controllers, recorders and programmers, as well as transmitters.

Introduction of thin-film technology for platinum sensors. Production is expanded to cover measuring and control instrumentation for determining chemical parameters.

 
Dipl.-Ing. Bernhard Juchheim takes over the management of M. K. JUCHHEIM GmbH & Co. after the death of his eldest brother, Peter.
Bernhard, the youngest son of Moritz Kurt Juchheim, was born on December 24, 1949.

Dynamic growth through the development of high-tech equipment, process control systems, smart transmitters, bus technology, up-to-date visualization software and a lot more.

Moritz Kurt Juchheim died in Fulda on November 2, 1996. He played an active part in managing the company up to his death.

Opening of the new sales and production building for temperature sensor technology products – with a total area of 4680 m² – in the Eisweiher industrial park on August 3, 2002.

The JUMO trade name has achieved outstanding international importance in control, instrumentation and automation technology. It is therefore decided to adapt the formal name of the company within Germany to match the international name. In June, M. K. JUCHHEIM GmbH & Co is renamed as JUMO GmbH & Co. KG.


Dipl.-Kfm. Michael Juchheim is appointed as managing partner in addition to Bernhard Juchheim, his father.

Start-up of a new logistics center with finished-goods store, order picking and packing. Automatic warehousing technology, a barcode-controlled handling system as well as a newly set up dispatch ramp – all put in place to ensure fast and reliable shipment.

Security generates trust. Creation of a new IT center with high availability to assure all DP-controlled process flows.

Market launch of innovative products with a certified functional reliability to minimize process and user risks.

The American subsidiary JUMO Process Control Inc. inaugurates the new principal office in the Canastota Business Park. The new building offers additional space for an own sensor production at the JUMO subsidiary in the USA.


Shortly later JUMO invests in a new building in Stäfa /Switzerland which now unites administration and production at one single location.

In honour of the company’s founder Moritz Kurt Juchheim, the access raod to JUMO is renamed as Moritz-Juchheim-Straße.

The introduced radio technologie offers the customer complete new applications in the field of measurement registration.
The wirless temperature measurement enables applications as well in areas which are difficult to access. Expensive special cables are not necessary anymore.

At the beginning of May we dedicated the new business premises of our Spanish subsidiary JUMO Control S.A. in Madrid. The building site and -structure of the new building is based on an optimal consideration of the requirements of JUMO Spain. 

In the end of 2008 JUMO has established a subsidiary in India which is located in Gurgaon/Delhi.
